Founded by Ashish Waghmare back in 2000, Queen Dates was started with the belief that great quality shouldn’t come at a great cost. In the year 2000, he began a wholesale business in a small space. The response was amazing, and soon one deal turned into multiple deals in a month. What started as a wholesale shop in a small space in the heart of the city gradually became a business supplying dates overseas. It didn’t happen overnight, but it was his determination to provide top-notch quality dates that made the business grow from a small setup to an international supplier.
In 2015, with growing demand among locals, he started selling two types of dates in retail. And that changed the course of the business. Customers didn’t just like the dates, they kept coming back. And that was the beginning of something much more. As demand grew, so did the vision. He started selling all types of dates, including Omani, Mabroom, seedless, stuffed dates, Sawafi dates, and Medjoul dates. There has been no looking back since then. Today, all types of dates are available at Queen Dates, both wholesale and retail.
